People who visit or travel through the city see the city different from further away than from close by. Therefore, my main focus was related to “closeness” and “distance”. However, the poster’s title changes, which means from further away someone is able to read the title but by getting closer the poster’s title changes or disappears. Also, the entire story is included in the poster by having one letter in each of the triangles. This Chinese action/romance film is more a love story than a straight martial arts film. The use of strong colors plays an important role. Since the movies deals with daggers, love, and dance, I decided to have my typography in sharp angles or free floating. Sometimes in life it is unknown which path you will follow and that is why I decided to use a maze on the front cover of the postcard. The arrows show different directions I went through until I ended up at Adidas.
